Camp Perkins is not located on the ocean, but beautiful Perkins Lake and the breeze that blows through the Stanley Basin make for a thrilling ride skirting over the water in a sailboat.
Sailing Camp is integrated with traditional Youth Camp, but during the optional activity time, sailing campers spend four afternoons on the lake learning the age-old skill of traversing the waves in a sailboat with the power of wind.
Participants will be led by trained and experienced instructors and must be competent swimmers and comfortable in deep water.

Professional clay artist Angela Neiwert will help campers explore limitless possibilities with clay. Campers will dig and purify their own clay and make creations using their hands, the wheel, and a pit fire. Clayworks is integrated with traditional Youth Camp, but participants will spend the optional activity times using their creative spirit to explore the relationship between clay and the Potter. Campers should bring water shoes and swim suit for digging clay in the famous clay pits.

Fly Fishing Camp is integrated with traditional Youth Camp, but participants spend their mornings at Perkins Lake and the surrounding rivers honing their skills as anglers. An experienced instructor will train campers in tying flies, casting, and more.

Fiber art uses textiles such as fabric, yarn, and natural and synthetic fibers (including wool). It can include quilting, weaving, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, felting, braiding, spinning, and more.
This camp is an introduction to both traditional and modern fiber arts techniques. Possible projects include loom knitting a hat, knitting a dish cloth, needle felting critters, kumihimo (Japanese braiding), felting a scarf, re-purposing wool sweaters into mittens or a bag, or crocheting a lap blanket.
