Retreats of all kinds offer spiritual, physical, and mental renewal as you spend time in a place free of your daily responsibilities. Jesus shows us on several occasions the importance of setting aside time for yourself and your relationship with God and others. The individual benefits of a retreat can include quiet time of peace and personal study, the chance to spend extra time enjoying a hobby, or even the opportunity to make new friends.
Unless otherwise noted, retreats start after dinner on Friday and end before lunch on the last day.

SpeakerS 2024: Lara TripLett & Caryn Elliott
Lara Triplett has a passion for God’s Word and loves to share it with others. As a pastor’s wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother, Lara draws from years of experience to share the faithfulness of God. She earned a dual Bachelor’s in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. Lara is a recent cancer survivor and knows the joy of the Lord to be our hope and strength.
Caryn Elliott has a heart for Camp Perkins and shares God's gifts through Bible studies, fiber arts and connecting people. Caryn has been married for 35 years to Scott, and they have one son, Jack and a precious daughter-in-love, Madi. Caryn has served and led in different ministries and seeks to follow God's direction and path. Overcoming health challenges with God's perfect timing, instilled the joy of the Lord in all circumstances.
theme: Experience the Joy — Then Share It
Bible Study
Experience the Joy — Then Share It is study focusing on the joy we find through Christ’s forgiveness and also the comfort and protection we receive from God our Father. Our joy can then be intentionally shared as we serve God through witnessing to others about His goodness. Joy is an important concept in the Bible. The words joy, joyful, and rejoice appear many times. No synonym for joy expresses the joy we have as Christians! Words like happy and glad do not express quite the same feeling as joy. The word joy is important, because joy plays a major role in our lives as Christians. Our theme verse says, Rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16). But is that possible? We will explore this as we study Experience the Joy – Then Share It. Craft Cindy Champlin will teach us how to weave grass. We will learn the technique and in the process make a small wreath. Cindy is a talented artist from the Kimberly, ID area. The craft is included at no additional cost. The supplies have been donated. |
Plan Your Own |
