Program and Hospitality Manager - Year-round Full-time staff

Picture
The Camp Perkins Program & Hospitality Manager, working in coordination with the Operations Director and the full-time staff, provides leadership for Camp Perkins’ programs, guest experience, retreat hosting, summer staff culture, and hospitality ministries.

This position helps ensure that campers, families, retreat guests, school groups, volunteers, and summer staff experience Christ-centered hospitality, meaningful programming, and a well-prepared camp environment. The Program & Hospitality Manager plays a key role in summer camp, Day Camp, retreats, Outdoor Education, family programs, guest group support, and seasonal staff leadership.

A successful candidate must be flexible/adaptable, relational, organized, spiritually mature, and able to lead young adults with both encouragement and accountability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys people, program ministry, hospitality, staff development, and the joyful chaos of camp life.

The Program & Hospitality Manager is part of the year-round ministry team and works closely with the Operations Director, Executive Director, Maintenance Manager, Food Service Manager, administrative staff, seasonal staff, volunteers, and guest group leaders. This position supervises seasonal program and hospitality staff and helps carry the culture, rhythm, and guest experience of Camp Perkins.

Camp Perkins is located 46 miles from the nearest town in the beautiful, but rugged Sawtooth Mountains, which are generally covered with 3-5 feet of snow from December through early April or May. Though this can be an incredibly beautiful environment in which to work and recreate, it can also be an isolating environment at times. Most interaction will be with a small team on-site, with guest and retreat groups joining the community on many weekends.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, including medical, disability, and retirement. On-site housing is provided. Pets are not allowed without the prior approval of the Executive Director. This is a 12-month role, and the normal work rhythm includes weekend responsibilities during high-use seasons, especially summer camp, retreats, and family events.
